trojan pandas!!

sounds funny huh! trojan pandas!! when I first heard that, I was like - such an over the top reaction! saja buat kontroversi only. they give you pandas, you take lah! cute what! anyway, although many excuses were brought up regarding the ill-effects of accepting the pandas, only one stands out as the major issue - acknowledgement of taiwan as part of china. since pandas are an endangered species, they can't be exported willy nilly... but if taiwan is a part of china, it wouldn't be export... apart from the politics, panda mania has supposedly set in in taiwan. I can definitely understand that as I have experienced panda mania. they are extremely rare and can only be seen in a few zoos. of course I'd like to see one. and I have. these two to be exact. don't forget to checkout the panda cam (just sits there and eats bamboo). or you could check out the panda cam from the san diego zoo. sad to say my visit to that zoo co-incided with the birth of hua mei. therefore, I didn't get to see any of the pandas there. san diego zoo is really quite nice. but I liked singapore zoo better. probably because of the layout and cohesiveness? but of course the san diego zoo has many more exhibits!!! and of course the polar bear in the sd zoo is nice and white, not green like in the singapore zoo! hmm.... I should just get myself a tare panda.
