blogpet and smilies

blog toys! was pretty bummed that blogger didn't have emoticons. took a while to figure out how to embed them. but now yippee!! basically you just hotlink them. there are a couple of websites with smilies to hotlink. love the kao series. they're japanese, so I don't get those that spout words. but they're so cute.

the other was the blogpet thingy. yes, yes, my pet is momiji. lame but that was the first thing that came to mind. momiji or usagi. decided what the heck! I'll name it momiji!! so here is momiji. on the right panel. cute white rabbit. click on it and it spouts some japanese characters. click again and it out comes some random english words taken from this blog. you see, momiji reads rss feeds and I'm guessing he's supposed to make some smart alec comments on them. unfortunately momiji doesn't really understand english. hence the garbled gobbledegook. anyway, good looks is everything right? so inspite of his inability to understand my mindless blog, he gets to stay. supposedly he is capable of writing entries too. but since the instructions are in japanese, who knows how I set him up. it's already a miracle that he actually reads my rss feeds. that's probably the reason why he sleeps so much. darn this seri girl is boring! anyway, to get a japanese blogpet, click on the word blogpet under momiji, and register! wait, you don't understand japanese? then try mari san's translation that is mainly for typepad users. a little tinkering and it will work for blogger. isn't momiji adorable? especially the random gibberish he spouts? and for nifty backgrounds for your cutesy pet, crescentear has a ton of really beautiful ones. hopefully I'll find more cutesy stuff to put up. like mashimaro emoticons....
