Idiot & Fever Pitch
so... the red sox thing is big these days. yes, I'm a fan. I waited for hours on a cold day on memorial drive to see the idiotic cowboys on the duck boats. they got pretty close. I was very surprised! too bad they were all mellow by the time they got to our side. apparently we were after the pedro beaning incident. heh heh. anyway, saw the posters at the barnes and nobles in the pru for damon's appearance for his idiot book. I was like - yeah, whatever. apparently people waited in line a day early for both the pru and braintree signing event. I was like what?!! good thing they got to play with his world series ring!
I never saw what the big deal was about damon. he's definitely not my favorite red sox player. I don't really have one actually. if forced to pick, probably wakefield or varitek. I'm still amazed at his fan turnout! but I've never read anything by a sportsman.
fever pitch. amazing that they were there on that historic day. I don't remember seeing them. there was no mention of them too. I would've thought someone would have mentioned seeing drew barrymore on the field. anyway, just like the idiot book, I have no intention of seeing that movie. guess I'm not really a fan huh! guess most people will take it to be another romantic comedy. there can't be that many red sox fans that will watch it just because it's about the red sox. most probably people who watch it will watch it because they like romantic comedies. I do like these fluff shows like meet the parents, or along came polly. but I don't like sports movies. so I'll give this a miss. I'm not a big fan of drew barrymore and jimmy fallon anyway.
