why is cnn messing around?
what is my routine? I go home, switch on cnn headline news on the tv and then go about my business, whatever that is. but I have the volume on loud enough so I can hear the 'headline news' in the background. and if I hear something interesting, I can pop back in front of the tv to take a look. if I missed it, so what? the news basically loops every 30 mins. I loved cnn headline news for that reason. no matter what time it was, I could get the latest news in 15-30 mins. unlike the local tv channels where news is from 6-7pm sharp! so one day I get home after 7 and switch on cnn headline news and I get showbiz tonight! what the heck? I don't need to know the latest buzz on showbiz, I want real news!! local networks carry their showbiz fluff from 7-8pm anyway. that's why I watch headline news!!! but wait! that is not all. apparently cnn thinks that they need to revamp their format. of course change is often neccessary. but this headline prime thing is just plain ridiculous. 7-10pm, that is when most people watch tv. and they choose this time to have showbiz tonight, which like I said before is akin to a gossip program, followed by nancy grace, another sensationalized 'news program'. puhlezzz!! we don't need more rubbish. headline news should be just that - headline news! isn't that the point of the channel? headline news at any time of the day! but now it has pointless hype during primetime! *starts to boil* luckily for me, after some aimless surfing, I now have anderson cooper as backup during the 7-8pm slot. nevertheless, I still think that cnn is betraying its headline news channel by stuffing their primetime with fluff and hype.
