dog poop girl

have you ever stepped on dog poo? sucks right?!! lucky for me, that has only happened to me once. aarrgghhhh!! still makes me mad when I think about it too. and of all things, my new espadrilles! damn it! you want a cute pooch? then clean up after your freaking pooch. all inconsiderate dog owners should go to hell! that's right! where they'll have to live with dog poo for eternity where even this won't help them. just thinking about it is making me mutter some curses at that dog's owner. I like dogs. I would love to have a beagle. they supposedly not so bright but who cares. beagles are so cute. just like snoopy. I love snoopy. but I don't have the time for the added responsibility.

anyway, I've witnessed my share of arseholes not picking up after their pooches. if you don't want to pick up dog poop, then don't get a freaking dog! I used to live in the younger part of town. where student renters rule. one morning while walking to the bus stop, I came across a bitch (human) that was walking her huge ass dog. she stood there in her high heels puffing on her cigarette while her dog that looked like a marmaduke sized labrador plopped a gargantuan pile of poop on the sidewalk. and then??? that freaking bitch just left without batting an eye. I know it doesn't do me good to get upset about arseholes but I wished I could've bitch-slapped her. the bitch would've have probably set her huge-ass dog on me.

so when I heard of the dog poop girl, I was like - serves her right, that bitch! I can't believe that someone would refuse to clean up her stupid dog's poo on seoul's subway! ok, the dog's probably not stupid. the bitch must not have trained her pooch. how can you be such an ass?? so someone snapped her pic and put it up online. soon it was all over the news and she supposedly quit uni from all the harrassment. serves her right for being such an ass. the news even spread to the US. I guess we can expect more of this trial by internet incidents. well, she thought it was just fine to be a bitch in front of strangers in a subway car. why should she mind when the whole of seoul finds out? is it only shameful when you're a jerk in front of people you know?

so should we all go out and put damning pictures of random people online? camera phone justice!! they do it in fashion magazines anyway. badly dressed people with bars across the eyes. ok, so putting up the picture is one thing, but what about the reaction from the public? if I saw her on the street, I would have no problem giggling and pointing her out to my friends. chances are I wouldn't recognize her on the street anyway. I presume that would be the same for most people. controversies like this only lasts for 75 days right? but her friends or acquaintances were wrong to put up her personal information on the web. why tell everyone where she goes to school, where she works, where she lives?? it is one thing to send those details to the transit authorities, so that they can hit her with a hefty fine, or make her clean subway cars on weekends. but to tell the world where she lives and who her parents are hence opening the door to malicious pranks and crazed vigilantes is just too reckless. it should be enough that she is shamed in front of people who know her.

well, in this case, she was delibrately being a bitch. maybe this will teach her not to be such a self-centered prick. hopefully all the noise will die down in 75 days and she wouldn't have to move to some remote country. but what about people putting embarrassing shots of people for hateful purposes? such as purely making fun of someone's looks or lack thereof. mean-spirited acts on innocent people that don't deserve to be put on show. I guess the offended party could sue the website into releasing the ip address or something. but is there really a difference? can we really condone one and not the other? some views expressed here. don't forget to check out the middle finger...
