So sleepyyy *yawn yawn yawn* Not sleeping well these days. Humidity must be getting to me! But I'm from SEA!! Maybe I'm getting to be one of those people who are sensitive to atmospheric pressure. Hot and humid. Sucky weather is coming!! *yawn*
Went to a garage sale yesterday. Parked in a handicapped spot with my blinkers on. I was only going to grab some stuff and come back to the car. But when I got out, the person living in the house I was parked in front of told me that I can't park that. Like I know!! That's why I have my blinkers on. Told me I'm going to get a $100 ticket in the usual 'don't say I didn't tell you' tone. Aaarrgghhh!!! Anyway, got out and bought what I reserved. Then drove round the block, its bloody Cambridge you know, and this time parked in front of a locked school gate with my blinkers on again of course. Went back in and waited to see if I could get my hands on the other stuff if the people who reserved them didn't show up. In the end I got another item and went happily home. Now to figure out where to put it! It was like a mad-house!
I did see lychees at Russo's the other day. Thought about getting it. I didn't know there's so much of a difference between the ones from Thailand and those from China. Can't say that I'm very observant, and I'm definitely not a connoisseur, unlike Renee from shiokadelicious! Love that blog! Now I'll have to look closer at that batch in Russo's. I think they only label the origin of the produce if there's a choice. Hmm... I've also checked out the ketola at Russo's, after reading Renee's writeup on them of course. If I remember correctly from the days I used to go to the market with mum, the ridges were supposed to snap crisply when pressed to indicate freshness. That certainly didn't happened to the ones in Russo's. Is that a valid test of am I just abusing the poor veggies? XD *yawn*
